About the Position:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Quality Improvement Research Analyst to join our Rocky Hill, CT office.

The Quality Improvement Research Analyst provides analytical support for clinical informatics, program evaluation, quality improvement, and outcomes projects including but not limited to data related to a state administered setting for adolescents with complex behavioral health needs. Responsibilities include developing methods for standardizing data collection and reporting; database management and design; quantitative and qualitative analysis; and dashboard development and/or presentation of results to support quality assurance and improvement activities. Major focus of the role will include creation of data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Tableau for internal and external use.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review and manipulate data and reports from multiple sources
  • Design and maintain databases, data, reports, and dashboards for tracking and reporting of clinical, quality, outcome, and research projects
  • Develop functional and technical specifications for data extracts to be used for data analysis and reporting
  • Incorporate quality improvement methods via all data dashboards, score cards, and presentations
  • Collaborate closely with SQL Programmers to interpret, define, and document data extraction specifications 
  • Develop easy-to-understand charts, tables, and graphs for diverse audiences using Tableau
  • Monitor and quickly address data issues as they arise; escalate issues and support resolution in collaboration with the Director of Quality Analytics and Data Visualization
  • Primary tools will be Tableau in addition to Excel, SAS EG, and SAS EM
  • Complete analyses and prepare written reports that summarize methodology and analysis of study data; present interpretations and recommendations
  • Shift priorities when necessary to support urgent business needs
  • Collaborate with other departments in order to interpret and assess needs of data requests
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of assigned deliverables; manage multiple, concurrent projects
  • Strong interest in adolescent behavioral health
  • Detail-oriented with an understanding of quality improvement processes and related data skills.
  • Limited local travel several times per week

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Expert and proficient knowledge, skill and ability in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Tableau.   
  • Expert and proficient knowledge, skill and ability in Analysis and problem solving, Collaboration and team-oriented work philosophy, Ability to manage and prioritize tasks
  • Intermediate level knowledge, skill and ability in Interpersonal communication, Verbal and written communication, Group presentation/public speaking, and SAS EG and/or EM skills
