About the Position:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Business Analyst/Consultant to join the staff of the Enterprise Project Management Office at our Boston, MA headquarters.  The Business Analyst/Consultant will perform complex analyses activities as part of business initiatives, programs and projects.  The successful candidate will possess a blend of analytical, consultative and project delivery skills; be credible, results orientated and viewed as trusted business advisor during the overall project delivery lifecycle.   He/she should also have the ability to make [and defend] sound, fact-based recommendations in order to improve business operations and delivery quality.  It is imperative that candidates have well-developed communication skills and the ability to actively listen to sponsors and stakeholders.  Sound like you?  Keep reading….

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end Requirements Life Cycle Management process for defined pieces of work
  • Partner with business resources to analyze project related risks and issues and recommend pragmatic solutions to complex business challenges
  • Build and analyze business state models illustrating and enhancing key functions and operational elements
  • Prepare business stakeholders for the project changes that are being introduced; articulate what those changes will mean to them as business leaders as well as the broader organization
  • Liaison between vendor(s),  business and technology business units to ensure project deliverables are meeting requirements and quality standards
  • Define, build and manage overall testing and Q&A plan as part of the project delivery and quality lifecycle
  • Prepare Lead and facilitate cross-functional team meetings, work sessions and focus groups to elicit information needed for artifact production; present analysis and findings to the right audience and the right time
  • Leverage problem-solving skills and sound judgement capabilities to make business decisions that drive results and solve customer problems
  • Assist in program and project life cycle functions such as Change and Communications Management plan creation and delivery
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of company strategic objectives, product offerings, platform/system, and industry, legislative, or regulatory changes that may impact the company portfolio of products and services or in-flight initiatives

Position Requirements:

  • Education: College Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Licensures: IIBA (Level 1-3) preferred but not required (equivalent experience taken into consideration)
  • Relevant Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in management consulting, business analysis or project delivery within the healthcare, professional services or management consulting industries
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: You don’t like to stand by when you notice opportunity for improvement… if there is something that could work better for your project, team, or Beacon you speak up and drive the dialog. You are a capable and innovative problem-solver using sound judgement to make business decisions that drive results and solve customer problems. Developed BA skillset: business analysis methodologies, tools and techniques. Deep understanding of how to interpret and translate customer business needs into quantified requirements. Strong organizational, communications/presentation, time management, and analytical skills. Understanding of general project management methodologies, tools and techniques

Candidates should have demonstrated experience in traditional business analyst and management consulting activities, including but not limited to:

  • Project due diligence activities and analysis
  • Business case development/due diligence
  • Requirements life cycle management
  • Solution evaluation, value assessment and recommendation
  • Business process analysis, design and optimization
  • Test Plan/Case development and delivery
  • Change and Communications Management expertise
