About the Position:

Beacon Health Options is currently seeking a dynamic EDI Senior Applications System Analyst to join our team in Woburn, MA; Boston, MA; or Latham, NY. The EDI Applications System Analyst will drive the technical requirements and mapping for all external client deliverables and assist on internal projects as needed.  This role will be expected to develop solutions to small and medium projects.  These data based projects will include ad-hoc data needs and daily/weekly file transmissions to clients.  This role will also support day-to-day operations for these ongoing deliverables and resolve issues as needed. 

The EDI Applications Program Analyst II will work closely with the BSA team and regional staff to understand the required deliverables and deliver high quality solutions.  The expectations of this role include SQL development, ability to compete EDI mappings and associated documentation. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and resolve production issues within established turnaround times
  • Draft detailed business requirements, technical specifications and mapping documents
  • Develop and deliver solutions based on received requirements
  • Understands job responsibilities and display good judgment in evaluating requests
  • Coordinate and execute testing cycles with internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as requested

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in an IT or Healthcare field preferred
  • Relevant Work Experience: 1-3 years of Health Insurance experience preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
    • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project, MS SQL
    • Familiarity with EDI File exchanges
    • Experience performing data mapping, requirements elicitation and testing
    • Ability to multi task and work on more than one project at a time
