About the Position:

The Director of Product Development leads the design, development, launch and measurement of new high-impact products that solve critical patient and client needs.  He / she will develop products by identifying client problems and potential solutions; conducting market research; generating product requirements; setting pricing strategy; defining pilot success measures; and leading cross-functional teams to build, launch and sell new products.    

This is a high profile role, working on some of the company’s most important strategic priorities.  Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate examples of strategic thinking, cross-functional project management and team leadership, outcomes orientation, and collaboration in a matrixed environment. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Define patient and customer problems through primary and secondary research, and outline product vision and value proposition
  • ​Create business models with target revenue, operating costs, investments
  • Assess competing products and outline required differentiating features
  • Develop process flows and patient journeys; identify new data needs and flows
  • Specify data needs, clinical/business measurement approach, and product dashboard with target success measures
  • Define and launch Minimum Viable Product pilots; leverage lean product design principles to maximize learnings and impact
  • Create project plans and lead cross-functional teams (with representation from Medical, Clinical, Network, Customer Service, IT, Legal, Finance, Marketing as required) to create new capabilities and workflows
  • Define go-to-market and pricing strategy; partner with Marketing to execute against plan
  • Deliver against adoption targets by working with regional sales to develop and manage sales pipeline
  • Conduct analyses to assess product performance and recommend new enhancements; maintain product roadmap

Position Requirements:

  • Education:  Undergraduate degree required; MBA or other relevant Master’s level degree strongly preferred.
  • Relevant Work Experience:   Minimum of 5-8 years of work experience, with track record of bringing new products/services to market, ideally in the healthcare space.  Management consulting background desired; behavioral health experience and / or clinical product development is a plus, but not mandatory.
