Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Youth Regional Network Manager to join our team at our office in Danvers, MA.  The Youth Regional Network Manager will report to the Regional Director of Provider Quality and will be responsible for identifying and implementing regionally based strategies to meet statewide clinical, quality, utilization, and network improvement goals through the use of data and positive working relationships with child-specific providers and facilities and child-serving state agencies. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains relationships with key clinical and administrative staff at the Community Service Agencies (CSA) as well as other provider sites contracted for Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) services.
  • Meets regularly with providers of In Home Therapy, Therapeutic Mentoring, In- Home Behavioral Services, Intensive Care Coordination and Family Support and Training to support regional and statewide network management work plans ensuring contract compliance and quality care.
  • Monitors the provision of services using key indicator data to ensure that (1) clinical needs of members receiving services warrant the service, (2) individualized home based clinical treatment & care coordination is provided in accordance with performance specifications (3) frequency and duration of service activities are consistent with membership clinical needs.
  • Uses Wraparound Provider Profile Reports to monitor CSA fidelity to the wraparound model and ensures provider compliance with System of Care Committee functions and responsibilities.
  • Actively participates in development and implementation of the regional strategic plan in relation to, and in support of, the Department Strategic Plan; Collaborates with all departments as appropriate to manage the child-specific community based providers and facilities.
  • Identifies service gaps in the region for children and adolescents, and works with Regional Director to develop/modify programs to meet service delivery needs.
  • Works to ensure appropriate access to quality services on a member specific and regional basis; Incorporates cultural competency, and rehab, resilience and recovery principles and system of care philosophy in fulfilling network management and development responsibilities.
  • Develops and supports strategy for integrating behavioral health and PCC initiatives.
  • Maintains a primary liaison role responsible for regional collaboration with the Child Services Department, Integrated Regional Team, and other MassHealth Managed Care Entities. Assumes role of consultant and mentor to less experienced YRNM’s statewide.Support shared learning and collaborative problem solving across regions by communicating regional efforts to meet gaps/service delivery needs to the other YRNMs across the state and to the Director of Child Services.
  • Implements regional network quality management with child-specific providers and establishes individual quality improvement goals.Investigates child-specific provider incidents and/or complaints in conjunction with MBHP quality department.Utilizes such data as consumer satisfaction surveys and medical record review to improve quality.
  • Develops, documents, and monitors dynamic corrective action plans with providers as needed to improve quality.
  • Conducts macro-level utilization management with child-specific network providers.Monitors and analyses service utilization data by vendor.
  • Lead and attend face to face meetings with providers, state agency staff, consumer and community groups.

Position Requirements:

Education: Masters’ degree in social work or psychology or a Bachelor’s level RN.

Licensure:  Must have a current, valid and unrestricted MA license in a mental health field (RN, Ph.D., LCSW/ACSW/LMSW, LLP, MHC, LPC, etc.). 

Relevant Work Experience:  A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mental health/substance abuse field, specifically with the child/adolescent population.  Experience in managed care or with state agencies preferred; computer knowledge also preferred.  Minimum 2 years’ experience as an RNM and Performance Evaluations at or above 3 on annual evaluations during those 2 years

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to produce, analyze, manage and utilize data in working with providers and other stakeholders
  • Able to work collaboratively with a staff team and with external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to facilitate meetings and present
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficient in COGNOS
