Job Description


The VP of Network SP&E is responsible for providing critical support to the EVP of Network Strategy (EVPNS) through operational leadership in the areas of strategic planning, performance improvement, capacity planning, budget management, project management/oversight, communications, and training. The Network Strategy lead will also act as a key liaison with Operations and across functions, including, HR, Finance, the Executive Office, and regional leadership. Reporting directly to the EVPNS, Network Strategy will also work closely with peers across functions to drive network innovation, process improvement and drive accountability to position the company for growth and improvements in operational processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of short and long term strategic planning at the direction of EVPNS
  • Drives and aligns strategy and initiatives as it relates to Network alignment
  • Coordinate updates for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Board of Directors and investors on Network projects and progress
  • Work with functional area leadership to analyze network and strategy
  • Implement efficiency improvements
  • Develop strategy for provider metrics and corresponding reports, dashboards and visualization of results
  • Maintain and improve strategy and product performance by monitoring results; identifying and resolving problems; and managing process improvements
  • Assist in the development of financial goal setting and set budget targets within each department and regions
  • Develop and compile budget reviews to communicate progress and ensure budgets are maintained; connect financial outcomes with key metrics to drive operational success
  • Work with HR to analyze org structures and develop and maintain staffing models across the network strategy team
  • Maintain and improve strategy and product performance by monitoring results; identifying and resolving problems; and managing process improvements
  • Direct the development of training programs that increase the effectiveness of new and existing employees
  • Responsible for the development, management, and communications of network strategy  operating plans that facilitate the achievement of divisional and corporate goals:
    • Achievement of financial goals,
    • Development and maintenance of a well-controlled operating (both fiscal and operations controls) environment
    • Development and management of useful fiscal and operational reporting practices and artifacts.
    • Assess product development and technology to ensure success
  • Ability to lead and direct Network Strategy team meetings
  • Travel to sites as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree or higher preferred

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Demonstrated 10 years of experience within health care at an operational level; experience with strategic planning preferred
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Effective leadership and analytical skills, including working knowledge of budgets, staffing models, scheduling, and telecom opportunities
  • Exceptional ability to develop and manage results-oriented recruiting and training programs
  • Strong mentoring and relationship building skills with ability to effectively manage large groups
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook and Word with Excel skills
  • Proven experience leading teams through periods of significant growth or change
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to lead and motivate a growing and changing service operation; able to engage with directors and managers at all levels across the business to achieve goals and objectives
