Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Supervisor Clinical Operations Support to join our team.  This position location is flexible between Cypress, CA, Latham, NY, Morrisville, NC or Wixom, MI .  The Supervisor Clinical Operations Support provides first line supervision to clinical support staff, in addition to overseeing the administrative functions under the oversight of the Health and Performance Solutions (HPS) Director.  Supervises and coordinates clinical support activities.  Hires, trains, schedules and evaluates productivity and service quality of clinical operations support staff.  Provides feedback to ensure and improve customer service. Guides staff in resolving problems for member/providers and internal customers. Coordinates follow up and access process. Communicates effectively with other departments.  Leads, monitors, motivates and evaluates employees in a team setting. 

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Trains and coaches new and existing employees.Evaluates employee performance, attendance and job knowledge through observation and gives feedback Support HPS supervisor(s) in educating, orienting and training new clinicians, coaches, clinical support staff, workplace consultants, and clinical care management staff

  2. Coordinates all face to face and telephonic appointments to ensure processes meet all access and contractual requirements.

  3. Coordinates all non-clinical follow up activities to meet all contractual requirements.

  4. Reviews difficult customer service problems and expedites resolution.

  5. Reviews telephone statistics and work queues daily, weekly and monthly.

  6. Hires and schedules staff to ensure acceptable service levels.

  7. Oversees other administrative projects for the department as assigned.

  8. Guides and educates staff in coverage plan benefits, policy and procedures.Completes and monitors reports.

  9. Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree

Licensure:  N/A

Relevant Work Experience:   Minimum of five years experience in customer service.  Experience in managed care settings preferred.  Experience in a work team oriented/productivity oriented environment helpful.
