ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President & Regional Chief Medical Officer to join our team.  The SVP, Regional CMO will be responsible for advancing the cause of behavioral health care by providing clinical and evidence-based thought leadership to policy makers, clients, providers and other key Beacon stakeholders.

This position can be located in New York, Connecticut, Maryland or Pennsylvania.

Position Responsibilities:

  • The Regional CMO is the primary external representative of Beacon’s clinical vision within the region.
  • Supports alignment between clients’ clinical needs and Beacon’s clinical strategy through participation in sales and development activities, advocacy, and ongoing client engagement.
  • Serves as the client’s strategic clinical partner for all matters regarding behavioral healthcare – providing perspective on how Beacon’s products and services can meet their needs.
  • Advise corporate clinical, product development, MP, etc. if developments in capabilities are necessary to capture clinical trends in the marketplace; as a clinical expert, the RCMO aims to proactively develop creative solutions to improve outcomes for the regional membership.
  • Will support regional growth efforts by engaging in cultivating new client relationships and selling new contracts, representing Beacon’s clinical innovation with prospective clients.

Position Requirements:

Education: MD in Psychiatry or other relevant field 

Licensure:  Current active medical license

Relevant Work Experience:   At least ten years of increasing responsibility in a behavioral healthcare medical management role.
