Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Psychiatric Consultant (MD, DO or APRN) to join our team in Northern New Jersey.  The Psychiatric Consultant will be responsible for advising behavioral health clinicians, treating clinicians, and/or the hub staff on client care. This includes guidance regarding diagnostic or treatment challenges. This individual is responsible for providing clinical consultation and collaborating with Care Managers and Care Coordinators on care planning and service execution.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Advises ECM staff, treating clinician, or the multi-disciplinary care team on client care
  • Provides guidance regarding diagnostic or treatment challenges
  • Provides clinical consultation and collaborates with Care Managers and Care Coordinators on care planning and service execution
  • Reviews complex and difficult cases and determine when additional intervention or monitoring is required to meet program standards
  • Orchestrates, trains, and coaches an interdisciplinary team
  • Participates actively in staff meetings and clinical conferences to enhance professional development and quality of entire unit

Position Requirements:

Education: Board certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO) or licensed Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse.

Licensures: Current, valid and unrestricted license in the state of New Jersey. For MD/DO, board certified in psychiatry by the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and board certified in addictions. Psychiatric APN must be certified in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing by the American Nurses Association.

Relevant Work Experience: Four or more years of demonstrated working experience in health or care management-related position with addictions.
