About The Position:

The Manager of Reporting Development is responsible for impeccable organization, on-time delivery of high-quality reports, and fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.  The manager will code, in an Oracle environment, stored procedures, complex scripts and reports as need to meet requirements for SWPA stakeholders.  Additionally, the manager will serve to support and advance direct reports in their careers and skillsets in line with SMART goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team by effectively managing, coaching and mentoring staff
  • Responsible for developing scripts and reports that meet customer requirements
  • Intakes customer needs, prioritizes, allocates and delegates tasks and responsibilities
  • Implement procedural standards, strategic enhancements and code optimizations
  • Serve as the lead on high-profile external projects, work closely with the project team
  • Providing peer review support to work produced by others, confirming use of relevant coding standards; approving work produced by others
  • Pro-actively understanding changes to project scope, identify risks
  • Make prompt, technically sound decisions and recommendations that add value to business priorities and needs
  • Assist with validating reports and quality procedure adherence
  • Supports strategic enterprise initiatives
  • Escalating issues in a timely manner and suggesting improvements
  • Understanding of relational databases, data analysis, and the reporting lifecycle is required
  • Provide on-call support for critical Production report related issues

Position Requirements:

  • Education: BA or BS degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience. Advances degree preferred

Relevant Work Experience:  

  • 2 years Industry experience preferred
  • 4-8 years experience; preferred for the healthcare setting
  • Intermediate SQL expertise required at a minimum
  • Experience with report writing tools (Toad, Crystal Reports, etc.)
  • Understanding of relational databases concepts
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the reporting and project life cycle
  • Resourceful self-starter requiring little to no oversight
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
