Job Description


The Manager, Network Operations National Support, will be part of the Shared Services team, and will be assigned multiple projects that will support National Network Operations. The Manager will report to the VP, Network Operations and will manage frequent interactions with the Directors of Provider Data and Credentialing.

The Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence. The Manager serves as the subject matter expert for Network Operations processes and is responsible for development of business requirements, facilitating process improvement, data mapping, problem resolution, project management, system functional design and system testing.

Through exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, effective leadership, planning, process management and information analysis, the Manager will build a customer focused environment, coupled with innovation and building knowledge and capabilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead projects or act as a subject matter expert in collaboration with the project manager for the Network Operations team that will result in a reduction of operating costs, increased provider satisfaction, and compliance with internal, client, regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Act as liaison and maintain productive working relationships with all Beacon departments and Service Centers. Participate (when needed) in monthly accountability reviews with internal customers (service centers, account teams, etc.)
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and successfully implement them. This includes training assistance and workflow/policy development.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Network Operations and good judgment in evaluating requests – know when to raise an issue to management because it has the potential to result in poor data with a significant impact.
  • Manage all change orders for the Network Operations team. Act as primary point of contact with the IT team for facilitation of change orders.
  • Produce internal reports on an as needed basis and validate reporting provided by external departments.

Position Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Minimum of two years leadership or management experience in a health care organization, managed care preferred. 
  • Provider network experience, particularly in credentialing and/or provider data management.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Auto hotkey, scripting and other light programming tools
  • Customer service experience and experience in a production environment.
  • Strong leadership characteristics and ability.
  • Professional demeanor, strong written and oral communication skills, strong computer skills, and the ability to learn Beacon’s internal systems.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized and possessing problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage varying job pressures, and meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
