About the Position:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Business Systems Analyst I to join our Eligibility team in Latham, NY! The BSA I is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all eligibility deliverables for their assigned clients to both internal and external customers for all divisions including Employer Solutions, Public Sector, Health Plan and Federal excluding TriCare. The incumbent will work with the assigned Team Lead and BSA’s to complete tasks for their assigned clients.

The Business Systems Analyst I is responsible for development of the business requirements, data mapping, problem resolution, error analysis, project management and system functional design, developing test scenarios and level 2a testing and production file management and error handling under the direct guidance of the Team Lead and BSA’s.

This individual must have strong analytical skills and be able to multi task; juggling several projects and clients at the same time. He/she must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and is expected to take the initiative to suggest creative solutions to continually improve processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison, with support from Team Lead and/or Manager as needed, between National Eligibility and the Service Centers, National Departments, Vendors, and Clients for all eligibility matters related for assigned accounts.
  • Work with Team Lead and/or Manager when evaluating business requirements to ensure they are clearly defined, and when developing conversion and/or ad hoc specifications that address all business requirements. Collect all required project documentation and sign-offs, and conduct thorough testing that includes documentation of testing scenarios and results in a Testing Script. Ensure that projects are updated in the DevTrack database timely.
  • Integrate and recommend opportunities for improvements in the eligibility process for assigned clients. Demonstrate basic knowledge of eligibility and good judgment in evaluating requests – know when to raise an issue to management because it has the potential to result in poor data with a significant impact.
  • Monitor and work the error recycle of file loads for assigned clients to identify trends and maintain low error volume.
  • Under the guidance of the Eligibility Implementation Team and Team Leads, assists on implementation projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
  • Ensure that project timelines are monitored, met, and reported on a weekly basis. Ensure that project timelines and objectives are reviewed with the Team Lead and/or Manager.
  • Monitor and resolve Eligibility Help Desk Connect Tickets within established turnaround times.
  • Perform other job related duties as dictated by business needs.

Position Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associated Degree preferred.
  • Relevant Work Experience: Previous experience with eligibility processing is preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Strong customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to multi task
