Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Corporate Manager of Compliance Training to join our team at our office in Norfolk, VA or any of our other Beacon locations.   The Corporate Manager of Compliance Training is primarily responsible for the Compliance Training program, which includes developing, maintaining and presenting educational and training materials for internal and external audiences. Duties include monitoring, tracking and reporting of adherence to compliance training requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, enhance, document, maintain and present educational and training materials pertaining to: key healthcare regulatory laws, applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations that affect Beacon products, services, regulatory enforcement initiatives, and key Beacon compliance policies and procedures.Tailor the training materials and presentations to meet the needs of a broad range of audiences.

  • Prepare reports to Compliance Committees regarding the status of training initiatives, including effectiveness measures.Coordinate with Compliance Committee members to identify training initiatives based on audit and investigation findings and identification of targeted monitoring and auditing activities.

  • Responsible for production of Compliance Reduce Risk staff articles and other Compliance related educational materials and submission of articles for inclusion in provider newsletters.

  • Documents activities and assists in demonstrating compliance with regulatory and training requirements for accreditation purposes.

  • Assists in the use of the company-wide policy system.This includes setting staff up to post policies and training staff on how to use the policy module.

  • Responsible for updates to new hire and annual compliance training materials.Work with Human Resources to monitor employee completion of training.Work with Corporate Communications to create training reminders.

  • Work with Human Resources to implement disciplinary action for staff who do not complete training within required timeframes.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, communications, management or related field.  Master’s degree preferred.  Preference will be given to candidates with certifications related to their professional training, such as, Healthcare Compliance Certification (CHC), or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).

Licensure:  n/a

Relevant Work Experience:   At least three (3) years of professional experience in compliance, and development and delivery of training materials and programs.  This will also include experience in healthcare compliance, implementing regulatory changes and providing compliance related training.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a managed care environment and/or a behavioral healthcare environment.

  • Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Word and Outlook
