ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic CLINICAL TRAINER to join our team at our office in BELLEVUE, WA.  The CLINICAL TRAINER will be responsible for provides training to Military OneSource staff regarding all components of the program.  Areas covered include a thorough review of the program, and understanding of the various roles and responsibilities therein, including conducting telephone assessments, collecting sufficient data to make appropriate referral and authorization decisions and handling crisis calls.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of training needs and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.

  • Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods such as: individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.

  • Write material for new training programs; review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs; recommend appropriate changes.

  • Select or develop teaching aids such as; training handbooks, demonstrations models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference books.

  • Conduct training sessions covering specified areas including 6 week new hire training, on-the-job training, refresher training, etc. Test trainees using a variety of assessment tools to measure progress and to evaluate the effectiveness of training.  Report employee progress during training.

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s Degree in the mental health profession required. 

Licensure:  Psychologist, LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW  

Relevant Work Experience:   3-5 years’ experience in training and/or adult learning and/or instructional design in settings that include inpatient, partial, and/or outpatient treatment and care management services in a behavioral case management organization, and/or call center environment preferred. Experience as a CEAP or EAP internal/external consultant to a work site area preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, and OneNote, SharePoint, Windows, e-learning authoring software, video and audio editing software.
