ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clinical Services Assistant II serves as the primary support mechanism for all non-clinical administrative tasks so that clinical staff may focus on clinical priorities and ensure that critical business needs are met.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for determination of single case agreements due to network inadequacies and process as needed. Duties include contacting the Provider/Facility to negotiate Single Case Agreement rates and load final rate into computer system.

  • Primary contact for all provider questions involving single case agreements, authorizations and claims processes.

  • Responsible for the daily maintenance and data entry of single case agreements into computer system.

  • Record member/provider inquires into CareConnect and complete administrative functions as necessary. Conduct provider searches and record findings including provider status.

  • Primary contact for building and authorizing outpatient cases for members and providers through the registration process and the screening criteria tool.

  • Responsible for placing follow up phone calls to facilities and providers confirming reviews, aftercare and verifying appointment attendance.This may also include discharge planning coordination calls and distribution of outreach letters.

  • Run all clinical data reports including but not limited to: open case reports, letter error reports, single case agreement reports, etc.

  • Responsible for sending and distributing clinical faxes per contract requirements and HIPPA policy.

  • Other duties as assigned to allow Care Managers to focus on assessments and reviews.

Position Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma required plus three years of experience working in a healthcare environment with a high level of customer service.  AA degree and four years of experience preferred

Licensure:  None

Relevant Work Experience:   At least three years of  progressive experience in customer service or healthcare required.   

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong customer orientation and excellent written and verbal communications skills required. Must possess strong computer skills.
