Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Clinical Services Assistant II to join our team at our office in Little Rock, AR.  The Clinical Services Assistant II will be responsible for all Care Coordination and Clinical Staff.  Clinical Services Assistants complete tasks so that clinical staff may focus on clinical priorities and ensure that critical business needs are met.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting care coordinators, UM staff, and supervisors with managing documents and assisting with documentation as requested.Incoming faxes/mail should be triaged to appropriate staff and uploaded in EMR if necessary within 24 hours.
  • Responsible for maintaining phone coverage through answering incoming calls and triaging calls  to appropriate clinical personnel.Phone logs must be updated in EMR within 24 hours.Member confidentiality guidelines must be followed at all times.

  • Assist members with referral network providers and providing contact information for providers and their Care Coordinator.Member confidentiality guidelines must be followed at all times.

  • Responsible for filling supply request orders in a timely manner.Supplies should be shipped or ready for pick up no later than the Wednesday following the week that the request was made.

  • Responsible for having visitors sign in at the front desk and issuing parking passes and temporary badges when necessary.Assignment of temporary badges must be appropriately tracked.

  • Other duties as assigned to allow Care Coordinators to focus on their case load and to allow supervisors and other clinical staff to focus on their tasks.This may include closing cases and uploading documentation.

Position Requirements:

Education: GED/High School Diploma required plus 1 year of experience of professional

work experience.  Some college highly preferred

Relevant Work Experience:   One (1) year working with members with developmentally or intellectually disabled or members with behavioral health condition strongly preferred.  Excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, knowledge of the AR Medicaid and/or health delivery system, and knowledge of mental health and/or developmental/intellectual disability services a plus.

  • Analytical and problem solving ability
