ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Clinical Care Manager – Utilization Management to join our team at our office in Roseland, NJ.  The Care Manager - UM will be responsible for conducting telephonic assessments, collecting sufficient data to make appropriate referral and certification decisions

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment planning by providing Initial, concurrent and post-service reviews and discharge planning for continuity of care to members.
• Responsible for meeting standards related to clinical documentation, clinical policies and procedures, accreditation and regulatory standards and contract compliance.
• Develop collaborative relationships with providers to deliver appropriate and timely health care services.
• Help develop and facilitate implementation of the most cost effective plan of care for members while helping to ensure that members receive high quality care.
• Responsible for triage and management of emergency calls.

Position Requirements:

Education: A minimum of a B.S. Degree in mental health field or an Associate’s Degree in Nursing with related psychiatric nursing experience. 

Licensure:  Current valid and unrestricted NJ license in a mental health field (RN, Ph.D, LMSW/LCSW, MHC, LLP, LPC, etc.)

Relevant Work Experience:   Minimum of three years direct practice experience in settings that include inpatient, partial, and/or outpatient.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong customer orientation and excellent written and verbal communications skills required. 
• Must possess strong computer skills.
• Analysis and problem solving
