Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Behavioral Health Care Management Team Lead to join our team in NY!  The Team Lead will be responsible for providing telephonic, facility based and field based case management, assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical departmental initiatives/programs, and provides clinical supervision and support of case managers.

This position can be based out of our Manhattan office or may be worked from home in the Greater NYC area.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serves as immediate resource to case managers to assist with problem-solving
  • Provide clinical consultation to staff on complex cases
  • Monitor and manage assignment of assigned membership cohort on CM caseloads
  • Perform routine population-specific clinical audits to quantify staff productivity and ensure clinical integrity of CM work
  • Initial & ongoing development of Case Management workflows
  • Develop any needed tracking and reporting tools to meet regulatory, client and/or Beacon requirements
  • Conduct individual supervision for eleven staff & assisted in leading group supervision
  • Frequent coordination and collaboration with the plan partner clinicians and leadership
  • Triage referrals, distribute workload, and effectively schedule and daily clinical operations supervision of Service Management team
  • Organize and summarize Beacon protocol, new procedures, management and regulatory requests implemented by the team
  • Audit Utilization Management reviews for Home and Community Based Services (HCBS)
  • Assist with HCBS claims denials and explore payment issues with providers
  • Track and analyze trends of high utilizers, high cost members; assist in development of member-specific and population level interventions

Position Requirements:

Education : Master’s degree in a human services discipline or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing 

Licensure :  This position requires current and unrestricted NYS licensure in a mental health related field (i.e. LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, RN, Ph.D.)

Relevant Work Experience:  
-Minimum 3 years clinical experience in behavioral health treatment (MH, SUD).
-Experience in settings that include inpatient, partial hospital, and/or recovery oriented ambulatory care preferred.
-Supervisory experience preferred.
-Minimum 3 years experience working with children.
-Knowledge of NYS child-serving systems required.
-Experience working with Health Homes and community and family-based services and child-serving systems preferred.
