ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Account Representative to join our team.  Location is flexible.  The Account Representative supports the Account Representative for his/her respective clients and contributes to the overall client support activities of the account services department.   This position will communicate with other Beacon Health Options managers and staff, as well as with client and vendor personnel. The Account Representative is expected to provide outstanding service which exceeds the expectations and enhances the partnership between Beacon Health Options and the client

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting Account Managers in communicating, troubleshooting, anticipating and responding to the needs of the clients

  2. Serving as liaison between Account Managers and other Beacon Health Optionsoperational departments in order to resolve client/account related issues

  3. Providing general account and department administration support.

  4. Gathering and preparing data and reviewing account-related reports, such as utilization reports, service guarantees, revenue reports, etc. and preparing information for Account Managers regarding account status, trends, etc.

  5. Providing research support for responses to inquiries from clients, vendors, and/or other Beacon Health Options staff.

  6. Responding to client inquiries or ad-hoc reports, preparing and collecting case information in response to client requests, preparing statistical reports.

  7. Representing Beacon Health Options at client/vendor meetings.

  8. Arranging meetings as directed for Account Managers with clients, preparing meeting agendas, collecting and preparing meeting materials, marketing materials, taking meeting minutes and providing follow-up meeting action items as directed.

  9. Providing information regarding client account issues to other service center operational departments, corporate departments and Beacon Health Options staff members as directed.

  10. Performing other administrative duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Education:   Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or Core Mental Health discipline preferred
  • Licensure:  N/A

    Relevant Work Experience:   At least 2 years’ experience providing customer support services, preferably in the managed health care industry.  Position may require knowledge of state government contracting and/or self-insured employer contracting.
